Although not (yet) available to the North American market, there are actually two versions of the 1.6L engine, the normally aspirated 1.6L engine producing 108-111 hp and turbocharged 1.6LT engine producing 181-184 hp, as used in Chinese Cruze-T and -SE and Buick Excelle XT models, and in the european Opel Astra GTC models.

• 1.6LT (LLU) 184 hp(135 kW) @ 5800 rpm, 235 N·m @ 2200-5600 rpm
• 8.8:1 compression ratio, 93 octane fuel grade.
