The Cruze 1.4LT engine uses an ecological cartridge oil filter with an "O-ring" sealing gasket instead of the previously common spin-on metal cannister oil filter. The O-ring gasket is included in the box with the paper filter element and is replaced with each filter change. Click here for picture.
TOOLS - the top of the oil filter is a 24mm and the oil pan bolt is 10mm. Below is a brief listing of known replacement oil filter cartridges (in alphabetical order): AC DELCO - PF2257G <--manufactured by HENGST in USA AUTOZONE - STP S10246 BALDWIN - P7489 BOSCH - 72260WS CAR QUEST - CFI 84674 CHAMPION - P981 FRAM Extraguard - CH10246 HASTINGS - LF643 HENGST - E611H D122 (OEM in europe) MOBIL - MO981 NAPA Gold - NGF-7674 PUROLATOR - L15839 QUAKER STATE - PO-171 WIX - Wix 57674 ...if you know of others, please let us know! Thanks.

K&N part # PS-7027. They typically make higher quality oil filters than anyone else. I've been using their filters in various vehicles over the past 20 years. Their filter for the Cruze/Sonic also appears to be higher quality than most mentioned above. Mobil filters are also pretty good.
