Default Oil Filter cartridges for 1.4LT

The Cruze 1.4LT engine uses an ecological cartridge oil filter with an "O-ring" sealing gasket instead of the previously common spin-on metal cannister oil filter. The O-ring gasket is included in the box with the paper filter element and is replaced with each filter change. Click here for picture.

TOOLS - the top of the oil filter is a 24mm and the oil pan bolt is 10mm.

Below is a brief listing of known replacement oil filter cartridges (in alphabetical order):

K&N part # PS-7027. They typically make higher quality oil filters than anyone else. I've been using their filters in various vehicles over the past 20 years. Their filter for the Cruze/Sonic also appears to be higher quality than most mentioned above. Mobil filters are also pretty good.
